Emergency and critical care Medicine Philosophy

  • To create a well-organized, well structured, well-equipped, well-maintained system of health care (prehospital and hospital) out of tradition at national and international perspectives standards through active clinical and academia practice of emergency and critical care medicine.

The emergency and critical care medicine department is being established on the year 2022G.C with the aim

  • To employ pertinent methods of prioritization, assessment, intervention, resuscitation, and further management of patients of all age categories who come with emergency condition.
  • To enable trainees practice evidence-based medicine.
  • To enable trainees to do quality improvement activities in Prehospital care and become a pillar in EMS development.
  • To enable trainees to Provide medical consultancy for Emergency and intensive Care Unit designing.
  • To enable trainees to do disaster preparedness and response plan and leads disaster response team.
  • TO design an emergency /critical care system,
  • To advise and advocate on policy issues through self-directed competency-based learning

Services given in our emergency and critical care department

  • The emergency and critical care service is being delivered by Emergency and Critical Care specialist, Emergency and Critical Care residents, emergency and critical care masters nurses, Bsc ECCN, internal medicine residents and surgical residents with close communications of internal medicine and surgery departments.
  • We give routine service to undifferentiated unscheduled acutely sick or injured patient.
  • We are providing continuous educational development of knowledge and skills required for the prevention, diagnosis and management of acute and urgent aspects of illness and injury affecting patients of all age groups
  • We are also initiating, expanding and strengthening the development of pre-hospital and in hospital emergency medical systems and the skills necessary for this development.
  • Beyond the emergency department care we are giving and ensuring the continuum of critical care in advance.
