The history of diagnostic coordinator starting from establishment of Gondar College of medical since in 1954.

Diagnostic coordinator office is one part of university of Gondar comprehensive specialized hospital which serves more than 450,000 customers yearly. This office includes Imaging and laboratory department and the service given for customers for 24 hours in outpatient, inpatient and emergency departments.

The laboratory department has 106 laboratory staffs and the test menus of the laboratory are 120. Our laboratory participates not only on hospital diagnostic service. But, we also participate in teaching learning activities. VL/EID and gene expert laboratory was accredited by ENAO and we are working hard to accredit the remaining laboratory sections
